New Horizon Fund

The New Horizon Fund is the loan program of the Florida Alliance for Assistive Services and Technology (FAAST). This service is funded through the Rehabilitation Services Administration and the Florida Department of Education, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. The program offers Floridians with disabilities credit opportunities while purchasing equipment and items that will improve their overall quality of life.

One of the two components of the New Horizon Fund is a home based business loan program through which consumers can purchase business equipment including computers, office furniture, and other business related purchases.

The home based business loan program is offered to those 18 and over. There are no income limits for applicants and all sources of income are considered. Those consumers that have damaged credit may also have the opportunity to qualify for a loan through the New Horizon Fund. Each application is evaluated individually.
