Elections will take place June 24, 2011 during the FAAST Board Meeting. Ballots submitted before June 24 are invalid.
To complete this ballot manually:
- Complete all fields and print the form
- Place your handwritten signature on the form
- Fax the form to the number provided OR if you have scanning capability, scan the form, save it to your computer, attach it to an e-mail, send the e-mail to sbroxton@faast.org

Why are digital signatures accepted in the voting process?
According to Article IV Section 1.2 of FAAST's Bylaws, "All members shall vote for Executive Committee candidates by signed ballot during the aforementioned Board meeting. Members not present at the meeting may vote by telephone ballot providing that with or after such ballot, a consent in writing setting forth the action taken is signed by the member."
Since FAAST accepts telephone votes, the Executive Committee has elected to accomodate members who are not physically present at the board meeting by also accepting e-mailed votes. The Bylaws require that all votes be signed, therefore, e-mailed votes must be signed either manually (and scanned to a file) or digitally.
How do I know if I have a digital signature?
You would have had to create a digital signtaure and it must be saved on your computer with a password.

In the open document, locate the "Tools, Comment, Share" panel in the upper right corner of the window, as shown below. Click "Tools".

Select a signing method. If you previously created a digital signature and you have your digital signature password "required", select "Sign Document". If you do not have a digital signature, select "Place Signature" and follow the instructions to create a new digital signature. If you wish to use to mouse to place an "ink" signature, select "Apply Ink Signature" and use your mouse and cursor to draw a signature directly on the document. The open "Tools" panel is shown below.
