FAAST Services and Projects Assistive Technology Information and Referral: The Northwest Regional Demonstration Center provides information and referrals concerning assistive technology devices, funding sources, and delaers by phone, postal mail, and email. Whatever the connection, the goal remains the same; make quality information easily available. Barrier Free Housing Program: The Barrier Free Housing Program will provide eligible elderly and disabled persons with housing modifications to improve elderly and handicap accessibility and security as needed by older and disabled persons to maintain their independence. Computer Recycling Program: FAAST is committed to recycling computers for people with disabilities. FAAST acquires the equipment, evaluates it, repairs it (if needed), loads licensed software, and distributes the equipment to people with disabilities. Equipment Recycling Program: FAAST is in the process of developing a recycling program for assistive technology equipment to aid persons with disabilities, parents, families, and professionals locate recycled assistive technology. Microsoft Accessibility Resource Centers: The Northwest Demonstration Center is equipped with video demonstrations and accessibility tutorials that show you how to make computing easier, more convenient, and more comfortable. You'll find staff experts in computer technology and accessibility—so you'll be able to ask questions and learn how to adjust your personal computer.
